Mrs. Ruby Jane Harris Link of 2076 Link Puryear Rd., South Boston, VA died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the age of 66. She was born in Roxboro, NC on June 21, 1946 to the late Franklin Jack Harris and the late Mable Alkins Harris Snow and was married to the late William Henry “Bill” Link, Jr. Mrs. Link was a retired CNA for Berry Hill Nursing Home and a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist where she was a former member of the choir and the UMW. Survivors include her son, Dale Link and wife, Liz of South Boston; daughter, Lisa L. Murray and husband, Willie of South Boston; sisters, Ann Russell and husband, Mitchell of Knightdale, NC and Evelyn Ray and husband, Doug of South Boston; grandchildren, Ashley Link, Morgan Link, Drew Link, and Brittney Murray; a great grandchild, Colton Link; special friend, Janice Clay of South Boston, and numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Bonnie Pizzeck, Rev. John Flood, and Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Brooks Funeral Home from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home, 2076 Link Puryear Rd., South Boston, VA.
