Ruby Elizabeth Manning

Ruby Elizabeth Manning, wife of the late Edward Manning, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the age of83. She was born in Halifax County, VA on August 27th, 1937, to the late George Elwood and Lessie Elizabeth Morris Wilborn. Ruby worked as a caretaker in Virginia, Florida and New York. She lived life to the fullest; enjoying going out, dancing and being at the beach. She was a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Stacey Raymond; grandchildren, Crystal Harmon (Jeremy), Renae Summers (Joey), Erica Raymond, Joshua Satterfield, Heather Byrd, Terry Byrd, Jr. and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Mattie Thrower (Wayne), Elsie Reaves (Allen), Rachel Walker, William "Billy" Wilborn (Brenda), Jimmy Wilborn (Sharon) and George Wilborn, Jr. (Ruth). In addition to her husband and parents, Ruby was preceded in death by sister, Clara Thaxton; nephew, Neal Thrower and her Uncle Berkley. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 21, 2020 in the chapel at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Glenwood UMC Cemetery.
