Ruby Fitz Tollerson

Boydton, VA -- Ruby Fitz Tollerson, wife of the late Claude Talmadge Tollerson, left for her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the age of 90. Born in Nottoway County on November 6, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Ida Hart Fitz. Ruby was a retired bank teller who worked for Central Fidelity Bank for more than 30 years. She enjoyed tending her flowers and cooking. Her greatest love, however, was her family and friends. She was a devoted member at Liberty Baptist Church. Left to cherish many special memories are her children, Leon Tollerson and wife, Shelby, Raven Tollerson and wife, Penny, Connie McGee and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Jessica Bowers, Jennifer Britt, Dawn Currin, Laura Wilkinson, Ryan McGee; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Green (Ruby’s twin) and Elizabeth Franklin, her sister-in-law, Dorothy Tollerson and many other beloved family members and special friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, C.S. Fitz. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Liberty Baptist Church with burial to follow at Fields United Methodist Church Cemetery.
