Ruby Layne Vargo

Clarksville, VA Ruby Frances Layne Vargo, wife of Steven W. Vargo, Jr., passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021, at the age of 75. She was born on January 21, 1946, to the late William Charlie Layne and the late Dottie Royster Layne. Ruby worked at Russell Stover for 15 years and at Burlington Industries of 10 years. She was a woman who wore her heart on her sleeve; always a giving soul, especially in regards to her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, William Robinson (Diane) of Clarksville; Theresa Oliver (Lewis) also of Clarksville and Darlene Ryder (Ricky) of Skipwith; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Bluestone Cemetery with the Reverend Dale Moore officiating.
