Ruth H Arrington

Charlotte County, VA. -Mrs. Ruth Higgins Arrington, 90, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 09, 1925 to the late George S. Higgins and Zeffe Hodges Tieman. Ruth was married to the late Earnest Lee Arrington, Sr. and resided most of her life in Charlotte County, VA, but lived the last 15 years with her son in Clarksville.Mrs. Arrington is survived by her son Earnest Arrington, Jr. (Maria) of Clarksville, and daughters Janet Hackett (Dennie) of Nashville, TN, and Peggy Wilkerson (Aubrey) of Keysville, VA.She is further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Thursday, January 7, in the Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel, officiated by the Reverend Jane Lyon.Interment will follow at Oakhurst Cemetery.
