Ruth Spivey Fox

Ina “Ruth” Spivey Fox, 87, died on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Ruth was born April 17, 1928 in Butner, Arkansas to Benjamin Franklin and Rosa Wallace Spivey. On December 2, 1961 Ruth married Charles Samuel Fox at Easters United Methodist Church. She retired from Burlington Industries. Mrs. Fox is survived, in addition to her husband, by daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and R.J. Harris Myrick of Littleton, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Pamela Harris of Roanoke Rapids, NC; grandchildren, Melissa Kampfer and Todd Harris; and great-grandchildren, Dylan and Savannah. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with the Funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, VA 23927. Entombment will follow immediately after the service at the Eternity Mausoleum in Oakhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Easters United Methodist Church, 25 Bank St, Boydton, VA 23917.
