Ruth Newcomb Wade

CLOVER - Mrs. Ruth Newcomb Wade of Clover, VA died Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the age of 90. She was born in Charlotte Co., VA on January 19, 1926 to the late Callie Owen Newcomb and the late Marian Dell Newcomb and was married to the late Addie "Roy" Wade. Ruth enjoyed working in her flower garden and she loved animals and rocks. Mrs. Wade is survived by three sons, Craig Wade of Richmond, Addie Wade and wife, Betty of Danville, and Owen Wade and wife, Arlene of Scottsburg; a daughter, Sheila W. Lacks and husband, Wayne of Randolph;a sister, Annie Lee Varner of Farmville; a brother, Hagood Newcomb of Farmville; twelve grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents,a granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Jackson, two sisters, and two brothers. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Clover Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the graveside service until 3:00 PM.
