Sallie Morgan Puryear Talley

Mrs. Sallie Morgan Puryear Talley, 86, widow of Drewery Fontaine Talley, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at MeadowView Terrace in Clarksville. Born June 20, 1923 to John Robert and Alice O'Geary Puryear, Sallie was a graduate of Virgilina High School. She was retired from Burlington Industries, having worked there for 42 years, and was a member of Amis Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 2PM Wednesday at Amis Chapel, with the Reverend Terry Howard officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Talley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, July and Earl Wiles and son and daughter-in-law, Morgan Fontaine and Sandra Talley, all of Virgilina. Seven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter. The family will receive friends 7-9PM Tuesday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
