Samuel Lee Simmons Sr., age 78, of Chase City, VA was born October 24, 1945 and passed away at his home on August 16, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents Emmett Simmons (Byron) and Dorothy Simmons; his brothers, Gerald Simmons and Emmett Byron (E.B.) Simmons Jr; a sister, Janet Farmer and his daughter, April Gaulding.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Simmons; his sister, Linda Ebbert (Jack) of Colonial Heights, VA; his children, Samuel Simmons Jr. (Kim), Timothy Simmons (Sandy), Tammy McDaniel (William) and Matthew Simmons (Shannon); 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
