SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Sandra Burton Comer, wife of Henry Randolph Comer who survives, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at her residence. Sandra was born in Halifax County on December 15, 1946 to the late Samuel Harrell Burton and the late Elna Short Burton. Sandra was a graduate of Halifax County High School Class of 1965 and was a member of Seven Oaks Baptist Church. She began her work career at Tultex and later worked at Halifax County Middle School. Sandra is survived by her husband Henry; daughter, Beverly Conner Jones and husband Tino of Alton; sons, Troy Comer and wife Alice of Alton, Andrew Comer of Danville, and step son Randy Green Comer and wife Lisa of Alton; sister, Tracey B. Johns and husband Rick of Halifax; brother, Harrell Burton and wife, Joyce of Halifax; grandchildren, Travis and Hunter Keeton; Rickie, Amanda and Casey Compton; Randi, Megan and Kate Comer; Skylar, Brooklyn, Nicholas, Graham and Charley Comer; and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Delores Keeton. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Seven Oaks Baptist Church with Pastor Chuck Barton officiating. Interment will follow in North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1:00-2:00 PM at Seven Oaks Baptist Church and other times at the home.
