Sandra A. "Sandy" Compton

Sandra A. (Sandy) Compton of Buffalo Junction, Virginia passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Born on February 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Eugene C. Allen. Sandy was born in Petersburg, VA. She was married to the late James O. Compton. She and James operated Compton’s Flying Service. Sandy loved fishing, her flowers, and any kind of animal and all birds, especially hummingbirds and cardinals. Sandy was predeceased by two nephews: Craig Compton and Keith Compton and two nieces: Tracy Compton and Brenda Compton. She is survived by two nephews: Dwight Compton (Cathy) of Hillsville and Alan Compton of Virginia Beach and one niece, Annette Lowery (William) of Woodbridge. Also surviving her are great-nieces: Cathy Jo Lanter (Jeff) of Raleigh, Lindsay Compton of Hillsville, Christi Loving (John) of Hanover, Lauren Gentry of Woodbridge, Krystal Uribe (Yurian) of Virginia Beach and great-nephews: Ian Gentry of Woodbridge, Adam Compton (Whitney) of Marietta, SC, Noah Compton (Pattie) of Gilbert, SC, Christopher Compton and Jonathan Compton of Roxboro, NC. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. According to her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
