Sandra Tuck Moore

Sandra Tuck Moore, 75, widow of Charles Edward Moore, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017. She was born in Halifax County, VA on August 24, 1941 to the late Algie Sanford and Ethel Davis Tuck. Sandra was a 1957 graduate of Bluestone High School. She worked for the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Department for over 20 years. Sandra was an avid outdoorsperson and she loved the Smokey Mountains. She also carried a great love for her family. Mrs. Moore is survived by son and daughter-in-lawRicky Cephas Overbey, Sr. (Kim) of Moseley; 4 grandchildren Ricky Overbey, Jr. (Megan) of Virginia Beach, Jamie Overbey of NY, Dylan Overbey of Moseley, and Taylor Overbey of Moseley; brother Algie Sanford Tuck, Jr. of Alaska; and nieces and nephews Britain Tuck of Alaska, Dwayne Overbey and Donna Overbey. Visitation will be held 1:00 – 3:00 P.M Wednesday, April 5, 2017 with the funeral services immediately following in the Chapel at 3:00 P.M at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home 703 Virginia Ave. in Clarksville, VA with the Reverend Gordon Pruitt officiating.
