Mrs. Sara Huey Calhoun, 76, widow of Howard Johnson Calhoun, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 in South Boston. Born in Hueytown, Alabama to Banes Milton and Flora Goolsby Huey, Sara was an avid quilter. She graduated from Hueytown High School with the class of 1946 and graduated from business school the next year. After spending thirty years in Liberty Corner, NJ., and fourteen years in Coral Springs,FL. the Calhouns moved to Clarksville in 1995. Mrs. Calhoun was a member of Clarksville Baptist Church where funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday with Reverend Wade Tucker and Reverend H.V. Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery. Surviving are daughter, Robin Calhoun Harmer of Clarksville; sons Mark Calhoun of Mesa, Arizona and Dan Calhoun of Averill, New York. Eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and brother, Banes Milton Huey of Decatur, Florida also survive her. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Friday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
