Sarah Janie Dickey

Sarah "Janie" Dickey, 89, widow of Marvin G. Dickey., died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Halifax Regional Hospital. Mrs. Dickey was the daughter of Harvey Alfred and Lizzie B. Smith. A homemaker, she is survived by her daughter Debbie Christy of South Hill; grandsons Kyle Christy and his wife Ashley of Kansas, as well as Antwan Smith of Clarksville; foster daughter, Janice Brierley of Rhode Island; foster granddaughter Jessica Hightower of Keysville and the Dailey family of Clarksville. Her brothers and sisters-in-law, Franklin "D" and Estelle Smith of Madison Heights, Linwood and Jo Anne Smith of Lynchburg; and sister, Rachel Totty of Spout Springs also survive. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Jack Christy, sisters Eula May Totty and Maude Smith and brothers, Guy E. Smith, Henry "Ikey" Smith, and Harvey A. Smith "Jr.".
