Stover Lee Elliott

Mr. Stover Lee Elliott of 6110 Cluster Springs Road, Alton, VA died Friday, September 12,2014 at the age of 76.He was born in Halifax Co., VA on January 10, 1938 to the late Robert Richard "Upton" Elliott and the late Ruby Gordon Elliott and was married to Rachel Link Elliott .Mr. Elliott was a farmer and previously worked with South Boston Livestock Market for many years, and also worked at various tobacco warehouses.He never met a stranger and always enjoyed people.In addition to his wife, Rachel Link Elliott, he is survived by a daughter, Donna Zimmerman and husband Timothy of Alton, VA.; one brother, Richard Randolph Elliott of Alton, VA., two sisters Rebecca Trickey and Emma Pearl Gordon both of South Boston, VA.; and special caregivers Caroline Jones and Fannie Harris.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert Franklin Elliott.The family will receive friends at Alton Baptist Church (5071 Harmony Rd., Alton,VA.) on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Alton Baptist Church with interment of cremated remains to follow in Alton Baptist Church Cemetery.
