Susan Tuck Rickmond

SAXE, VA. Mrs. Susan Lynne Tuck Rickmond passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the age of 57.Born in Halifax County on December 22, 1960, she was the daughter of Luther Flournoy Tuck, Jr. and Virginia Wilson Cumbey and was married to Ted Samuel Rickmond. Susan attended Florence Avenue Baptist Church. She loved to read, travel and watch movies, especially Hallmark movies. Other than her parents and her husband, she is survived by her step dad, Lacy “Butch” Cumbey, sister, Robin Tuck Arthur and husband, David; step siblings, Joyce Lowery and husband, Roy, Brenda Macy and husband, James, David Comer and wife, Sara and Ricky Comer and wife, Kathy; brother in law, C. B. Rickmond and wife, Juanita and numerous family and friends. She was preceded in death by her step mother, Hazel Comer Tuck and step brother, Wallace Comer. Funeral services for Susan Rickmond will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Florence Avenue Baptist Church, Virgilina with Rev. Dr. Heath Rickmond, Rev. Thomas Bryan and Pastor Herbert Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Virgilina Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 6:30-8:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and other times at the home, 5988 Hamilton Road, Saxe, VA.
