Theron Dale Campbell

Theron Dale Campbell, 83, widower of Joan Flagg Campbell, passed away at his home on Monday, September 30, 2014.Mr. Campbell was born in Campbell County, Va. on December 27, 1930 to the late Ralph Vernell and Myrtle Hazel Cyrus Campbell.He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.Employed with Trailways Bus Company as a Purchasing Agent for many years, he finished his working career at Elliott Auto Sales as a Service/Sales Manager.Memorial services will be held 7pm Friday in the chapel at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home in South Boston with the Reverend Randy Holmes officiating.Private interment will take place at a later date at Wrights Burial Grounds in Ladysmith, Va.Mr. Campbell is survived by his daughters, Barbara C. Elliott of Virgilina, Brenda Jane Campbell of Mebane, NC and LaDona Koontz of Pinehurst, NC, and sons, Michael Campbell of Richmond, Scott Campbell of New York and Gregory Campbell of Lex, NC.Other survivors include his special son-in-law, Tommy Elliott, special daughter-in-law, Lorraine Campbell and grandchildren, Tommy Elliott and his wife Amanda Walker, Nathan Buttgen and his wife, Dawn, Alison Bennett Campbell, Jonathan Buttgen, Madyson Prevette, Olivia Prevette, Haley Prevette, and Stephen Campbell.The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
