Thomas Eugene Boyd, Sr.

Thomas Eugene Boyd, Sr. 88, widower of Marjorie Blanks Boyd, died Friday, October 23, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston. Native to Georgia, Gene was Owner/Operator of Lugee Tire Company. He was a member of Clarksville Presbyterian Church; a World War II Army Veteran, and an ex POW. Graveside services will be 2PM Sunday at Oakhurst Cemetery with the Reverend Rodney Barwick officiating. Gene is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Eugene, Jr. and Connie E. Boyd; and grandchildren, Steven Boyd and Cassie Boyd, all of Clarksville. His sisters, Margilu Mimms and Annabelle Lytle, and brother, John Watts, all of Perry, GA also survive. The family will receive friends 7-9PM Saturday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
