Thomas F. Cassidy

Zebulon, NC - Thomas F. Cassidy, age 87, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.He was born in Bangor, Maine on April 10, 1928 to the late Gordon Cassidy and Frances Laffey Cassidy.Mr. Cassidy served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and served as Post Commander of VFW Post #5479 in Dunellen, NJ.He worked as an industrial shipping and receiving clerk prior to his retirement.Thomas was an all-around handyman that enjoyed fishing and being a good neighbor, helping others when needed.He was a member of Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Clarksville, VA. Thomas is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pauline Tychustup Cassidy, his daughter, Donna C. Lodata of Zebulon, NC and his son, Thomas D. Cassidy of Spotswood, NJ.He is also survived by one brother, two sisters, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
