Thomas Lowery Cole

Mr. Thomas Lowery Cole of 2222 E. Hyco Rd., South Boston, VA died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the age of 79. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on June 8, 1934 to the late Thomas W. Cole and the late Mary Lou Lowery Cole. Mr. Cole was a retired truck driver for Merita Bread Co., a member of the Hyco Rd. Ruritan Club, a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include, one daughter, Sharon C. Richardson and husband, Carl of Hillsboro, NC; one son, Warren K. Cole and wife, Penny of Virgilina, VA; one brother, Henry A. Cole and wife, Alice of Virgilina, VA; two sisters, Margaret C. "Winnie" Eudy and husband, Roger of South Boston, VA and Lois C. Dunlow of Portsmouth, VA; four grandchildren, Jamie N. Richardson, Jennifer M. Richardson, James T. Cole, and Katie D. Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Cleo C. Procter, Christine Cole and Maxine "Buddy" Huneycutt. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Brown officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 6:30 until 8:30 PM at Brooks Funeral Home and at other times at his home.
