Thomas David Ward

Thomas David Ward, 76, of Halifax, VA, passed away on Friday, August 16th, 2024. He was born on Monday, December 8th, 1947 to the late Weldon and Rosa Crews Ward and was married to Patricia Anne Ward. Thomas was a beloved member of the community. He worked at Clover Yarns for over 30 years. In his free time, Thomas enjoyed fishing and tinkering with old cars. He was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones. In addition to his wife Patricia, Thomas is survived by his daughter, Sherri Wilson (David); step sons, Dwayne Conner and Tony Lee Conner (Lynn); grandchildren, Joshua Lindsey (Brittany), Andrew Jones, Jacob Wilson (Sarah), and Joseph Wilson; his sister, Ruby Roark; his sister in law, Phyllis Ward; and many nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Jeanette Singleton Ward, and his siblings, Arey Ward, Jimmy Rice, and Minnie Lucille. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 19th at 11AM in the Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Norman Talley officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at 10AM. Burial will follow in Childrey Baptist Church. Thomas will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
