Thomas Bernard Murray

Thomas Bernard Murray, 90, died on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Meadowview Nursing home. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Tom was a graduate of Lawrence High School. He then attended Lowell Textile School in Lowell, MA., while working at Pacific Mills in Lawrence. In 1954, Burlington Industries took over Pacific Mills, and Tom worked under Burlington in several locations over a 24 year period; he then returned to the Clarksville plant from which he retired. In the mid-forties, he served as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Tom was also a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Clarksville where he was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #11741 and a fourth degree member of assembly #1720 of Danville, VA. Tom is predeceased by his father Thomas H. Murray, his mother Elizabeth O?Connor Murray, his sister Helen E. Murray, and Aunt Ellen V. O?Connor. He is also survived by his wife of 56 years, Virginia Lawton Murray of Clarksville.
