Thomas Edwin Overby

Mr. Thomas Edwin Overby, 85, husband of Elizabeth Overby, died after a long illness on Monday, October 14, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Petersburg. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Carol Hilliard; his parents, Luddie Ambrose and Idenia Owen; sisters, Doris Jordan, Hilda Newton, Ruth Terrell and Patricia Champion. He is survived by his brothers, Larry and Ray Overby; and sisters, Lucille West, Jane Yancey and Mabel Thomas. He loved his nieces, nephews and their families and step-sons, Michael Lampman and Mark Lampman, both of Chester. A graduate of the Clarksville school system and a United States Navy veteran, Mr. Overby was retired from Philip Morris with twenty-two years of service. A graveside service with Naval honors will be conducted 2Pm Saturday in Clarksville at the Oakhurst Cemetery.
