Thomas Winston Riggan

Clarksville, VA Mr. Thomas Winston Riggan, husband of Carolyn Elliott Riggan, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2020, at the age of 80. He was born in Granville County, NC, on August 31, 1939 to the late Wallace and Virginia Cannon Riggan. Tom worked as a mechanic at Burlington Industries for 30 years and was a member of the Army Reserve. He also worked with his son for more than 25 years at their company, R & R Entertainment, providing DJ services throughout the area. Cherishing many fond memories are his wife of 54 years, Carolyn; son, Jeff Riggan of Keysville; grandson, Bradley Thomas Riggan and siblings, Joe Riggan and Janet Claiborne. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a brother, Robert “Bobby” Riggan and a sister, Geraldine Pitts. Funeral services for Mr. Riggan will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, in the Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Chet Bergeron officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.wclfh.com.
