Timothy Wayne Powell

Timothy Wayne Powell of Roxboro, NC passed away on May 8, 2023 at the age of 54.  He was born in Farmville, VA on January 25,1969 to the late Collie Alton Powell Sr and the late Catherine Seamster Comer.

Timothy loved fishing, "farting around in the truck", and bringing home the bacon from the turkey shoot. The holidays were very important to Tim, especially Christmas. Tim also enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and children. He was a good hearted person with a passion for helping people and always believed that "one hand washes the other". He was employed as a furniture salesman at The Furniture Mart of Roxboro, NC.

He is survived by his children, Charles Michael Bowes, Kevin Dale Powell and Cherea Brooke Powell; his wife of many years, Christie Bowes Powell; brothers, Michael Dale Powell and Collie Alton Powell Jr; brother in law, Jeremy Michael Bowes; sisters in law, Wanda D. Powell and Melanie Bowes Crumpton; many nieces & nephews and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Catherine and Collie; stepdad, Freeman Comer; best friend, Larry Gunn; grandparents, Ira and Louise Seamster, Elgin and Izittie Powell and Mildred Bowes.

A Celebration of Timothy's Life will be held at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Clover Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
