Timothy Wallace Puryear

Mr. Timothy Wallace Puryear of South Boston, VA died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the age of 52. He was born in Halifax County on June 14, 1961 to the late J. B. Puryear and the late Hazel Wallace Puryear. Mr. Puryear was a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church and a former driver for Puryear Trucking. Mr. Puryear is survived by his son, Timothy Brad Puryear of South Boston; brothers, Tony L. Puryear and wife, Debbie of South Boston, VA and Todd F. Puryear and wife, Monica of Cluster Springs, VA; grandchild, Makenzie E. Puryear; former wife, Becky Sue Willis; 3 nephews, and 1 great nephew. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at his home,1218 Link-Puryear Rd., South Boston, VA. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be given to the Halifax County Cancer Association, P.O. Box 1891, Halifax, VA 24558-1891.
