Tommie Raymond Jimmy Talley

Tommie Raymond "Jimmy" Talley, Jr. , 72, husband of Caroline B. Talley, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Mr. Talley was born March 30, 1941 to the late Tommie Raymond, Sr. and Sadie Raymell Yancey Talley. A graduate of Oak Hill with the Class of 1959, Jimmy was a retired grocer, lastly as an Assistant Manager. Memorial services will be held 2pm Wednesday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Gene Brooks officiating. In addition to his wife, Jimmy is survived by his son, Anthony "Andy" Talley of Louisa; and daughter, Kimberly Main of Blount's Creek, NC. His six grandchildren; brother, Bobby Ray Talley of Buffalo Junction, and stepson, Scott J. Smith of Baltimore, MD also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Talley. The family will receive friends 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
