Toni Lea Leslie Martinelli

Toni Lea Leslie Martinelli, 85, widow of William T. Martinelli, passed away December 23, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Halifax County on November 7, 1929 to the late Walter D. and Minnie Sue Blackstock Leslie. A graduate of Halifax High School, Mrs. Martinelli moved to Washington, DC and worked her way through college to become a nurse. She lived all over the United States as her husband served in the United States Air Force. Toni considered her life to be one of a circle, ending her life where it began. Her body will be entombed next to her husband's in the Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, CA. Mrs. Martinelli is survived by her daughter Ginger Bautista of San Francisco; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. The family requests in lieu of flowers that you consider memorial contributions in Toni's name to the Halifax Regional Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
