Vicky Lowery Throckmorton

ALTON, VA Mrs. Vicky Lowery Throckmorton, wife of Louis Throckmorton, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the age of 71.Born in Halifax County on May 27, 1947, she was the daughter of Thomas Junior Lowery and Vivian Lee Green. Vicky loved her family, especially watching her grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed watching and listening to her brother’s and cousin’s band. Vicky was a devoted caregiver, a former nurse, and a member of McCanless Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Angela Glasscock (Michael), and Chasity Wagstaff (Sterling Carden, Jr.); grandchildren, Kaci Shotwell, Kayla Smith (Brian), C.G. Wagstaff, V, Jamie Sizemore, Gracie Wagstaff, Alyssa “AJ” Glasscock, Breelee Glasscock, and Cadi “Peanut” Glasscock; great grandchild, Decker Smith; sister, Phyllis Lowery (Lawrence); brother, Tommy Lowery; aunt, Cathryn Thomas and devoted cousins and nieces. Funeral Services for Vicky Throckmorton will be Saturday, April 6, 2019 at The Worship Center at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ricky Whitlow, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1:00-2:00 PM at the church and at other times the home of Angela and Michael Glasscock, 4079 Lowery Road, Virgilina, VA.
