Mr. Victor Harden Coghill, 82, husband of Betty Burnett Coghill, died July 3, 2004 in Richmond. Born and reared in Mecklenburg County, Mr. Coghill was a pastor of many churches over the last 30 years, and was recently retired from Gospel Baptist Tabernacle, of which he was the founding pastor. Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday at Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle with burial in the church cemetery. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Paul Duke of Buffalo Junction; son and daughter-in-law, H.B. and Jean Coghill of Crew; sisters, Julia Seay of Clarksville, Frances Glasscock of Virgilina, and Barbara Beck of Danville; brothers, William Hoover Coghill and Ben Sterling Coghill, both of Buffalo Junction; and three grandchildren, Lisa Cary, April Duke, and Johnny Rakes.
