Victor Morgan Moss, 91, husband of Vivian Carlton Winn Moss, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Somerset Assisted Living in South Boston, Va. "Vic" was born April 23, 1921 to the late Herbert Graydon and Beulah Morgan Moss. A graduate of Boydton High School with the Class 1939, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a retired U.S. Postal Carrier, serving the Skipwith Community from 1960 until 1983 and was a member of the American Legion Post # 43 for 50 years. Mr. Moss was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Skipwith where funeral services will be held 2PM Sunday with the Reverend George Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In addition to his wife, Mr. Moss is survived by his sons, Victor Morgan Moss, Jr. and Penny Patton, of Gwynn's Island; and Graydon Alton Moss and his wife Kathy of Skipwith. His grandchildren, Jonathan Andrew Moss and his wife Karen of Mathews, Graydon Alton "Scooter" Moss, III and Benjamin Jeremiah Moss and his wife Jesse all of Skipwith; two great grandchildren, Mackenzie Victoria Moss and Kyla Morgan Moss of Mathews; and sisters, Blair Moss Young of Portsmouth, and Mozelle Moss Moore of Gillette, WY also survive. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Marie Wagstaff Moss; sister, Annette Moss Osborne; and brother, Herbert Graydon Moss, Jr. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 1pm at the church.
