Viola Elliotte Simmons

Mrs. Viola Elliotte Simmons, 82, widow of Woodrow Wilson Simmons, Sr., died Sunday, February 25, 2007 in South Hill. Born and reared in the Nelson community, she was the daughter of Richard Thornton and Annie Carrie Adcock Elliotte. A homemaker, Viola lived all her adult life in Clarksville. Graveside services will be 2PM Wednesday at Bluestone Cemetery with the Reverend Ricky Whitlow officiating. Viola is survived by her son, Woodrow W. Simmons, Jr. of Clarksville; son-in-law, Richard Glassco of Lawrenceville; granddaughter, Carol Price; and great grandchildren, Ricky, Brandie, Stormie, and Austin. She was preceded in death by daughter, Betty Simmons Glassco. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 1PM until 1:45 PM at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
