Virgiline Elizabeth Plants Webb of Virgilina, VA, passed away peacefully at her daughter's residence on Monday, July 15, 2024. Having been born in Smethport, PA on February 25, 1934, she was raised by the late Ruben Plants and the late Grace Tanner Plants on the family farm which is currently an active working farm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Webb.
Virgiline was a very social and outgoing person, she enjoyed spending time with her friends from church, Pinetops Baptist Church, where she was involved with her sisters in Christ volunteering. A creative person in many aspects, she loved various crafts, such as painting, crocheting, and word & jigsaw puzzles. Virgiline was a lover of all animals, dogs, cats, and especially horses. She had an ongoing interest in the Native American Indian culture and was of Seneca descent. She was well traveled and visited many states. While living in Arizona she raised horses. She had an unpredictable sense of humor right up until the end, and kept up with current events.
She is survived by her children, Edith Strang of Virgilina, VA, and Leonard Strang of Brooksville, KY; her grandchildren, Jesse & Justin, Shannon and Melissa, Tim and Amber, along with numerous other grandchildren; and siblings, Lucy Freelove and Paul Plants and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her children, Kenneth Strang and Diane Strang Cordner.
