Virginia Gaffaney Axelsson

Skipwith, VA Mrs. Virginia Gaffaney Axelsson, 72, wife of Bror Eric Axelsson, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 in South Boston. Born and reared in Miami, FL, Mrs. Axelsson was the daughter of Clarence Orcellus and Loretta Wilson Gaffaney. She was a graduate of Wildwood Catholic High School. A funeral mass will be said 10 AM Saturday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church with interment to follow in Oakhurst Cemetery. Father John Kazwibe and Deacon John Sadowski will officiate. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Axelsson is survived by her daughters, Anita Marie Callahan and Kerstin Axelsson, both of Cape May, NJ and Lisa Obst of Clarksville; sons, Bror Eric Axelsson, III and Andrew Peter Axelsson, both of Cape May, NJ; Timothy Andrew Axelsson of Northeast, MD and Jon Clarence Axelsson of Oxford, PA. Sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. A rosary will be said and the family will receive friends 7-9PM Friday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
