Virginia "Betty" Austin Anderson

SCOTTSBURG, VA - Mrs. Virginia “Betty” Anderson of Scottsburg passed on to her Heavenly home Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the age of 82. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on January 21, 1934 to the late Addie Wilson Austin and the late Sallie Williams Austin. She was married to the late William “Dink” Albert Anderson. Betty was a faithful member of Clover United Methodist Church and a devout Christian throughout her life. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved gardening and cooking for her family. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her sons, William “Bill” Albert Anderson and wife, Carolyn; Randy Austin Anderson and wife, Diana; Carroll Wayne Anderson and wife, Robin; and one daughter Brenda Anderson Daniel and husband, Lynn. Granny Bea is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; sisters, Nettie Irby and the late James Willard Irby and Sue Dix and husband Reginald; and brother Harry Austin and wife Diane. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00am at the Austin Family Cemetery with the Reverend Kerry Halbert, the Reverend Aubrey Heath, and the Reverend Ken Warfield officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Clover United Methodist Church from 7pm until 8:30pm and at other times at the home, 2124 Guill Town Rd., Clover.
