CLOVER, VA Gladys Virginia Jones Canada, 97, of Clover died October 11, 2018 in the Brookdale Cary Senior Living, Cary, NC.She was the wife of the late Jack F. Canada.Born in Campbell County, VA on April 20, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Virginia Purdum and Glover Hunter Jones, Sr.She was a member of Early’s Chapel United Methodist Church and previously Clover United Methodist Church.She was a retired Halifax County Elementary School teacher serving the education of students for over 30 years.She is survived by daughters, Sharon A. Mills, Virginia P Ward (Penny)and fiancé Tom Wilkerson all of Raleigh, NC and son and daughter-in-law Fontaine and Martha Canada of Bridgewater VA: a sister-in-law, Margaret Jones of Sherwell, VA, Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a brother G. Hunter Jones, Jr. and sister, Annie Laurie Cardwell.A graveside funeral service will be held 1:00pm, October 20th at Clover Cemetery by the Rev. Randy Holmes.The family will receive friends with light refreshments at Clover Methodist Church after the service.
