Virginia Elizabeth Dempsey Scott

Virginia Elizabeth Dempsey Scott of 3008 Allen Trail, Scottsburg, VA died Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the age of 65. She was born December 25, 1945 to the late Clayton Blair Dempsey and the late Nannie Mae Sears Dempsey. Mrs. Scott was a former employee of Clover Yarns. Survivors include four daughters, Lisa Becker and husband, Fred of Red Oak, VA; Tammy Wade and husband, Kenny of South Boston, VA, Lynn Fallen and husband, Jamie of Scottsburg, VA, and Renee Sierra and husband, Brigido of Scottsburg, VA; a son, James Scott and fiance, Lisa of Scottsburg; two sisters, Nannie Lou Jones of Red Oak, VA and Pauline Hanson of Peval, MS; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tommie Alexander Scott; her second husband, Lee Scott; and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 4:30 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Scott Family Cemetery, Saxe, VA. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of Lynn Fallen, 3004 Allen Trail, Scottsburg.
