Virginia Williamson Blanks Elliott, 93, of 111 Buck Jones Road, passed away August 19, 2011 at the home of her daughter. Virginia was born in Clarksville, VA on September 15, 1917 to the late Fuller B. Williamson and Matie Sizemore Williamson. Virginia retired with 44 years of service at Gregory Poole Equipment Co. After retirement, Virginia went to work in the printing business with her nephews. As long as her health permitted she was a faithful member of Ephesus Baptist Church. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at Ephesus Baptist Church, 6767 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27606. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Ephesus Baptist Church, and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Bob Dutton, 4624 Smithfield Road, Wendell, NC 27591. Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at Union Chapel Baptist Church, 4433 Shiny Rock Road, Clarksville, VA 23927. Surviving: Daughter: Sandra Blanks Dutton and husband, Bob of Wendell Grandchildren: Bobby Dutton and wife, Angie Tammy D. Lee and husband, Taylor Great-Grandchildren: Christa Dutton Caroline Dutton Sam Dutton Morgandy Lee In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Andrew Blanks and Ben L. Elliott, and siblings, Ruby Yancey, Eula Yancey, Vivian Clack, Annie Yancey, Pauline Bannister, and Jordan Williamson. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to Ephesus Baptist Church, 6767 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27606, or Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
