Virginia Elizabeth Hall Watts

Mrs. Virginia Elizabeth Hall Watts of 4237 Old Cluster Rd., South Boston, VA died Monday, March 14, 2014 at the age of 88. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on April 28, 1925 to the late James Luther Hall and the late Rosa Lee Loftis Hall and was married to the late Lawrence Calvin Watts. Mrs. Watts was a retired secretary for VPI, the Pentagon, Fuller-Roberts Clinic, and the Public School Systems. She was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church and actively involved in the United Methodist Women. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Lee Watts Gmitter and husband, Jim of The Villages, FL; three sons, James Calvin Watts and wife, Dianne of Virgilina, VA, Lawrence Bracken Watts and wife, Tammy of Palm Bay, FL, Joey Virgil Watts and wife, Sharron of Pamplico, SC; three brothers, Leroy Hall and wife, Hazel of Roxboro, NC, William Hall and wife, Shirley of Richmond, VA, and Junior Hall of Buffalo Junction, VA; 9 grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; 6 great grandchildren; 5 nephews and 3 nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters-in-law, Pearlie Hall and Evelyn Hall. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shady Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in Virgilina Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30-12:30 prior to the service at the church.
