Virginia Theresa Murray

Mrs. Virginia Theresa Murray, the widow of Thomas Bernard Murray, of Clarksville passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Virginia was born in Essex Co., MA on February 15, 1927 the daughter of the late William Lawton and the late Grace Shanahan Lawton.

Ginny and Tom moved to Clarksville with Burlington Industries, where Ginny retired as a secretary.  She loved to play golf in her free time and volunteer her time and care at Meadowview Terrace Nursing Home.  She was a long-time member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

Ginny was predeceased by her sisters, Gertrude Devaney, Marie Ebert, and Frances Landry; and brothers Kenneth Lawton, Thomas Lawton, and William Lawton.  She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ginny's friends and family would like to extend an extra special thank you to Marsha's Home Care Agency, especially Marjorie Sands, Loretta Tucker, and Joyce Talley for their faithful and dedicated care.

A funeral mass for Mrs. Murray will be held at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 9:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, Ginny asks that donations be made to the St. Catherine of Siena Building Fund.
