SOUTH BOSTON - Mrs. Virginia Hupp Wooldridge of South Boston died Friday, October 28, 2016 at the age of 82. She was born in South Boston on June 27, 1934 to the late Charles Allen Hupp and the late Mary Blanch Martin Hupp and was married to the late Aubrey Jett Wooldridge, Jr. Virginia was a homemaker and a member of Centerville Baptist Church where she was in the choir.She loved her children, grandchildren, and her church. Mrs. Wooldridge is survived by a daughter, Linda Poteat and husband, Gerald of Buffalo Junction, VA; two sons, Aubrey E. Wooldridge of South Boston and Claude Dudley Wooldridge and wife, Mary of Nathalie, VA; grandsons, Kenny Wooldridge, Christopher Poteat and wife, Stacy, Eric Poteat and wife, Melissa, and Brandon Wooldridge; five great grandchildren; a brother, Andrew Allen Hupp; and three nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nannie Wooldridge, a son, Ronald David Wooldridge, and a brother, Charles Riley Hupp. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Beulah United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Linda and Gerald Poteat, 254 McDonald Lane, Buffalo Junction, VA.
