BUFFALO JUNCTION Wallace Glasscock of Buffalo Junction, VA passed away March 14, 2022. He was born in Halifax County, VA on November 27, 1927 to the late Thomas George Glasscock and Carrie Lee Davis Glasscock. He was preceded in death byhis wife, Anna Elizabeth Comer Glasscock. Wallace spent most of his working career building roads across Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. He also helped to construct the John H. Kerr Dam in the early 1950's. He worked for Talbott Marks Construction Company and Grey Walker Construction before retiring. He enjoyed gardening, cutting grass and working around the home. His love for his children and grandchildren is surpassed only by his love for his wife. He will always be known for the "gift of gab" and he never met a stranger. Wallace is survived by his daughter, Sandra E. Glasscock Callahan; his son, Timothy Wallace Glasscock; grandson, Adam B. Callahan; granddaughter, Amy E. Callahan and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was the last of Tom and Carrie's children to pass away. In addition, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Rommie Vest Glasscock, George Howard Glasscock, Bruce Hoover Glasscock, and Thomas Glasscock; four sisters, Myrtle G. Glasscock, Margaret G. Tillotson, Emma Gray G. Ambrose and Ruby G. Ballinger. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Oakhurst Cemetery in Clarksville.
