Wallace B. Gosney

ALTON Mr. Wallace B. Gosney passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 74.Born in Halifax County on July 18, 1945, he was the son of the late Irvin A. Gosney and Catherine Dunn Gosney. He was married to Faye Solomon Gosney. Wallace served his country during the Vietnam War and was a decorated Veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his wife, Faye, he is survived by his children, Cindy Gosney Fisher and husband, Jason of Halifax, Kristin Nicole Gosney of Ft. Mitchell and Kevin Wallace Gosney and wife, Crystal of Ft. Mitchell; grandchildren, Libby Taylor Fisher, Malory Lea Fisher, Joshua Donta Hawkes, Makayla Lynn Hawkes, Emily Lynn Gosney and Alyssa Louise Gosney; sister, Linda Gosney Lloyd and husband, Allen of South Boston; special uncle, Willie Lee Overton and aunt, Myra Shelton and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Tammy Lynn Gosney Seate and Christina Nicole Gosney; grandchild, Thomas Seate; brothers, Wayland, Willard and Ray Gosney and special uncle, Lloyd Dunn. Agraveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 10 at Aarons Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.A reception will be held at a later date for all friends and family. The family will receive friends at the residence.
