Warner Brann "Vonnie" Reeves

Mr. Warner Brann "Vonnie" Reeves of 2142 Cedar Grove Rd., Alton, VA died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the age of 80. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on February 11, 1934 to the late Stover and Mary Louise Satterfield Reaves and was married to the late Peggy Cranfill Reeves. Mr. Reeves was a US Army veteran and a long time employee of ABB. He was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Michael Reeves and wife, Robin and James Reeves and wife, Jane; a daughter, Cindy Smith and husband, Jeff; a brother, Curtis Reaves and wife, Dale; seven grandchildren, Adam Reeves, Lori Meadows and husband, Corey, Samantha Smith, Sarah Smith, Jordan Reeves, Josh Reeves, and Jacob Reeves; and one great grandchild, Charlie Meadows. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and one brother, Earnest Reaves. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home.
