CLARKSVILLE, VA. Warren Lynnwood Chestnutt graduated from this world from MeadowView Terrace in Clarksville, Virginia on 24 November, 2014.He was born in Washington, DC on 17 March, 1927, the son of the late Ernest Chestnutt and Alberta Lazear and is preceded in death by his sisters, Ernestine Eisenacher and Virginia Roach, as well as his first wife, Phyllis Donald, and second wife, Shirley Hopkins.He is survived by his sons, Donald Chestnutt and Bruce Chestnutt, and daughters, Rebecca Chestnutt, Fran Peters, Susan Murphy, Sharon Mulvey, and Janice Mulvey plus 15 grand children and 17 great grand children.Warren was an Army Air Corps veteran at the end of WWII serving in the occupation forces on Okinawa and then attended George Washington University for an engineering degree.He was an employee of the Southern Railway System, and later a partner in the K.F. McQuilkin Company.After retiring, he resided in Key West, FL and Romney, WV.Warren had a generous nature and was a loving father figure for his entire extended family.A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
