Werner Kurt Paulus

Clarksville, VA Werner Kurt Paulus Sr., 78, died at Sentera Halifax Regional Hospital the evening of October 18, 2015.Werner was born in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Konrad Paulus and Dorathea Graser Paulus.He was retired from Oscar Mayer, where he worked for 35 years as the Maintenance Director. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Maple Shade, New Jersey and enjoyed golfing, solving advanced math problems and building furniture. Surviving Werner is his wife of 57 years, Mary Elizabeth Paulus of Clarksville; son, Werner Kurt Paulus Jr. and wife Carole of Westampton, NJ; son, Brian Justin Paulus of Merritt Island, FL; daughter, Nicole Suzanne Abbitt and husband George of Halifax, VA; sister Anita Harris; brother, Arthur “Art” Paulus; and eight grandchildren, Amy Paulus, Justin Paulus, Jack Underwood, Summer Paulus, Alison Paulus, Zachary Paulus, Sara Abbitt, and Sam Abbitt. The family of Werner Kurt Paulus Sr. is being cared for by Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home in Clarksville.
