Wesley Ray Gosney

Mr. Wesley Ray Gosney of 5228 Bill Tuck Hwy., South Boston, VA, died on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the age of 67. He was born on June 17, 1946 to the late Irvin Alvis Gosney and the late Catherine Dunn Gosney. He was assistant manager of Riverdale Auto Parts and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Eden, NC. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Roxboro, NC, and was a member of the Hospital “Breakfast Club”. Mr. Gosney is survived by one brother, Wallace B. Gosney and his wife, Faye of Alton, VA; one sister, Linda G. Lloyd and her husband, Allen of South Boston, VA; five nieces and nephews, Jason Lloyd, Kevin Gosney, Kristin Gosney, Cindy Fisher and Michael Gosney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dunn, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Will Gosney; two brothers, Wayland Lloyd Gosney and Willard Alvis Gosney; a niece, Tammy Seate; and a great nephew, Thomas Seate, III. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norman Talley and Rev. Dan Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Aarons Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Monday night from 7 until 8:30, and at other times at the home of Allen and Linda Lloyd, 3028 E. Hyco Rd., South Boston, VA.
