William Addison Jones

SOUTH BOSTON, VA William "Billy" Addison Jones, 84 of South Boston, Virginiadied on Saturday, March 5, 2016, Billy was born Monday, June 29, 1931, he was the son of the late Howard R. and Hallie SpencerJones. Billy was also preceded in death by his brother, Harry W. Jones and a sister, Peggy R. Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church.He enjoyed woodworking and gardening, was a member of the Cluster Springs Ruritan Club and a charter member of Cluster Springs Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his sister, Martha Northey of Richmond; a niece, Jennifer Martineau and her husband Brett; a great niece, Hannah Chewning and her husband Chris; great nephews, Chet and Austin Martineau ; 3 great great nieces; and a great great nephew. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Randy Holmes officiating. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to may make a memorial contribution to Sentera Halifax Hospice, 2204 Wilborn Ave. South Boston, VA 24592 is invited to do so.
