He was born on November 9, 1936, in Englewood, New Jersey to Samuel Asher and Catherine Hickey and lived a life filled with love and a deep commitment to his family. William (Bill) attended St. Francis College in Loretto, PA, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1958.
Bill was united in marriage to Rosella (Sally) Bormann on April 20, 1963, and their union was a source of strength and joy for nearly six decades. Sally preceded him in death, earlier this year. Asher, Jr., of Bozeman, Montana; and Allison M. Asher of Bullock, North Carolina, and his grandchildren, Hunter, Sam, and Corinna Asher and Kyle Mann. He leaves behind a legacy of love and familial bonds that will forever be cherished. Bill's love extended beyond his immediate family to his dear sister, Therese Asher Stotler of Maplewood, New Jersey. Their bond was unbreakable, a testament to the strength of family ties that defined Bill's life.
In addition to his role as a loving husband, father, and brother, Bill was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his community. His impact reached far and wide, touching the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. Bill was a proud member of St. Catherine’s of Siena Catholic Community.
