William Ralph Eason

BUFFALO JUNCTION - William Ralph “Bill” Eason passed away peacefully on December 9, 2017 at his home of thirty five years in Buffalo Junction. He is survived by his sister Jackie Richards of Pittsburg, PA. Bill was a graduate of Washington & Lee High School in Washington, DC and Virginia Tech where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He spent his career working in various capacities with the government and a short time with NASA at which time he designed the Luna Roving Vehicle. He was a very avid and accomplished dancer. Bill was twice married. First to Gladys Cummins Eason (deceased) for forty seven years. They had three children, Barbara Peterson of Lexington Park, MD, Mark Eason of Manassas, VA, and Janet Edington and husband, Bruce of Fairfax Station, VA. He had five grandchildren, Matthew Peterson, Jenna Peterson, Jessica Edington, Amanda Edington, and Ian Edington. Secondly, he was married to Frances Alderson Eason, of the home, for fifteen years. He had two step daughters, Donna Doss and husband, Owen and Pamela Corbell and husband, Warren. He had 4 step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren. There will be a visitation and a celebration of his life on Saturday, December 16 at 2:00 PM at the home, 32 Mustang Rd., Buffalo Junction, VA. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
